About Us

The Indian Parallel Cinema Festival of Australia (IPCFA) is bringing Indian arthouse cinema to Australia this year. The IPCFA will be held during the  9th – 11th of August at the Palace Norton Street Cinema in Leichhardt, Sydney. Each year, the IPCFA will present the works of an Indian arthouse filmmaker, from renowned parallel filmmakers such as Ritwik Ghatak and Aparna Sen to  contemporary and emerging voices such as Nandita Das and Konkona Sen Sharma.  The inaugural festival will be presenting four films by the renowned filmmaker Satyajit Ray. The festival will include film screenings, a live music performance and post-screening Q/A sessions with special guests.
